serious question: How do I get over being nervous....

whenever I see this person or see her around wherever I go, I can't help but get nervous.

It's a girl... I don't think I like her in any way... we just make each other feel uncomfortable.

I want to be myself instead of the shy soft spoken side of me take over.... I'm supposed to see her with couple other people tonight, and I'm already tense. I don't want to be nervous the whole night.. what is wrong with me?

Have a bit of alcohol. That will loosen you up for sure. I am shy and soft spoken and sometimes nervous around new people and that does the trick.

There's got to be more to it. If I talk to a nasty ass fat chick, I wouldn't have any issues but if a supermodel came over and started talking to me, you bet I'd be sweating and my heart would be pounding. Face it, you like her and maybe she likes you. It's the sexual tension.

that's a very good question...

I've always been shy around girls though... ugly, unattractive, or whatever.
only girls... unless they are much younger than me or much older than me. If they are around my age.... I feel like I need to impress them or something... I honestly don't know why I do the things I do.

yea. a nasty ass fat chick... of course, it wouldn't bother me.

But I'm just talking about normal girls.... none extremely ugly, none extremely hot... just normal.

That's pretty common. But if it's worse around this one particular girl, you like her.

The only thing to do is face your fear head on. If you really don't like her I'd say just don't go around her. However, if you like her, and it makes you anxious, then just keep going around her until you get over it. I was exactly like that when I first started going out with my GF. I was very introverted. Now I can fart, burp, do stupid things around her that I would have never dreamed of doing in front of her when we first started going out.

i can always talk to a hot girl, if shes not a complete bitch or something.
because i always knew i didnt stand a snowflake's chance in hell of dating her.
it was the women that i thought i had a chance with that made me nervous.
why not just try talking to this girl, fritolays? perhaps that would ease the tension???

I do talk to her..... I guess I'll try to make more of an effort to get over it tonight and get used to talking to this person.

Hopefully my voice isn't all shaky and start saying stupid things hahaha. I'd like to see her around from time to time... but not as a girlfriend or anything like that.
