serious question: How can I profit from this religious/church movement in the US?

Notice how much money Passion of the Christ made? And now there's some new show called revelations on at prime time I think. There ya go.

When I was a kid a guy wearing a white robe would visit every house on our street about once a month to pray for our souls my grandmother usually give him some coins.

religion-wise, you're probably not going to see much money because the organized segment of the larger religious groups will get it all (ie, donations to temples, churches, etc.). The only reason passion of the christ was so big was because the money flowed from churches to movie theatres so that large congregations could all go and watch the film. Same phenomenon with the vast majority of children's movies. They almost always rake it in because it's not just your kid who is watching the film, it's also the parents to take the children, the friends, their parents, plus it also is a small break for adults from having to be all parental and just have a little fun.

Take an ordinary product, put a religious spin on it, then produce in small batches so that it sells out and people are dying to have one so you can charge more for it.

I'm thinking like selling Jesus dolls? or tshirts of some sort. Any ideas?

Embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior, and go to heaven. Ultimate profit!
