Serious Problems w/nVidia 680i Chipset Boards?

There are a few Internet forums that are beginning to discuss what appears to be some serious (data corruption) issues associated with the new nVidia 680i chipsets. It is indeed curious that Anandtech has yet to post anything about these issues, especially with the strong review that appeared on Anandtech's web site on November 8, 2006. I'm sure that many readers would sincerely appreciate knowing about these matters, especially since many of these high-end motherboards are going to cost more than $300.00. I am personally waiting for the Gigabyte GA-N680SLI-DQ6 board to become available, since it appears (from the very little info available) to be what I am looking for to build a new system. However, I damn well don't want to be stuck with an expensive piece of junk that either corrupts RAID arrays and/or constantly locks up! Those problems have been repeatedly mentioned as recurring issues with the early 680i boards in those "other" forums. I have always relied upon Anandtech to give me the "straight scoop" on these matters, even if such a disclosure doesn't particularly help one of their good-paying advertisers (nVidia, et al). However, the silence on this matter (especially after the 11/8/06 endorsement), and the obvious delay in actually producing these 680i boards (at least by Gigabyte), is causing me to be a little concerned about a possible conflict of interest between the Anandtech readers and the good-paying ($) advertisers! How about an early Christmas present for us Anandtech? - Just let us know the TRUTH!

not everyone has problems a lot of people have had no troubles with their boards, I would love a DQ6 SLi version but I doubt it will be out buy the time I am ready to upgrade, which will be late january as I will have double the budget I would if I went ahead with it now, 680 is cutting edge technology, of course there is going to be bugs in the system, bad boards, it is really luck of the draw sadly

You're essentially calling Anandtech out to be slaves to their advertisees? Anandtech didn't even test the RAID and I don't recall them ever testing RAID in a standard motherboard review. Not to mention, simply testing RAID write/read speeds (what you'd most commonly find if someone tested RAID) would probably not even be enough to show the corruption issues that you're talking about. Especially since they install images to refresh between testing!

So, simply...
1) Anandtech didn't even test RAID.
2) If they did and their board/drivers were borked, they probably wouldn't have had enough exposure to see said problems.
