Serious problem with cookies and secure sites in IE6,help!

I'm using Windows XP Pro english and recently I received an error saying that my user profile was corrupted; I'd got to create a new user and move all data (desktop, favorites, documents) from the folders of the corrupted user (c:\documents and settings\joao) to the folders of the user I created (c:\documents and settings\joao2). I think there was an error or something when copying the cookies, because now I cannot access https sites (secure sites), including Hotmail! I've already configured IE to accept all cookies, tried to delete all cookies, but nothing works. I've even tried to delete all contents from the folder c:\documents and settings\joao2\cookies, but it won't let me delete all files. What should I do?
