Something to sink your teeth into. A real problem at least to me. Computer has been working fine. Shut
it down to work on another computer , I used the same monitor, took care of problem, re started computer but a few seconds into powering up, it quit. Dead. Restarted, powered right up with no trouble, did get a safe mode screen but just jumped it back up to normal before the time ran out. Still
OK, later in day thought I would install a webcam. Everything went ok with installation until I plugged in camera. Then it could not find acpi.sys and several other files. I un installed the software, rebooted , my
computer sarted asking for the correct monitor drivers, then up on booting I find I only have 16 colors
available, and a 640 x 400 screen resolution, can not change it. Long story short, finally went into system and found yellow exclamation mark by Advanced Configuration & Power Interface (acpi) bios.
Upon further inspection under device status it tells me Windows could not find the driver for this device
because the computer is reporting two ACPI. SYS bus types (code 2) Contact your manufactuer to get an updated bios for your computer. Is it really the bios? Keeping perfect time and date but does appear to have lost it memory somehow because of finding new hardware at each reboot. But why two bus types? Need a lot of suggestions and Tums.
