Okay I just got my new memory today - http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=20-141-148&depa=0] pqi TURBO Series Dual Channel Platinum Kit 184-Pin 1GB(512MB x 2) DDR PC-3200 - Retail[/URL]. Now ever since I put this memory in the computer crashes randomly every few minutes then reboots. I don't know what is wrong 🙁 This memory is the same as OCZ, it is Samsung TCCD chips with a Brainpower PCB. I don't understand why its not working.

I tryed moving the memory into all slots possible, and it didnt work. I did DIMM1-2 first, then 3-4, then 1-3, and nothing works. Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to fix this problem, if not I guess I'm going to RMA the board, and get a different one.

nope... I just left it at "Load Fail Safe" settings because it kept crashing...

These are my specs by the way:

AMD 64 3000+ Winchester
PQI Turbo Dual Channel Kit 1GB 2 x 512MB (2-2-2-5)
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
74GB Raptor
BFG 6800 GT
Coolermaster Real Power 450W
Sound Blaster Live Audigy 2 Platinum
NEC 3500A DVD-RW

check over at http://forum.msi.com.tw in the amd64 nvidia forum. they list compatible memory. also, i searched your PSU and it had dual 12v rails. This board really sucks a lot of power, and needs 25a on the 12v rail, so that could be the problem

Would using a Antec NeoPower PSU be a problem?
Output: +3.3V@30A, +5V@38A, +12V1@18A, +12V2@15A, -12V@1A, +5VSB@2A

That PSU has 33A total on its 12v rail (add 1 and 2 together, a lot of new PSUs are doing that) so your PSU is fine. Try the memory sticks one at a time.

Make sure you didn't hit anything like the 20pin while installing your ram.

Actually it might not. I believe that the Antec PSUs have had issues with the MSI Neo2, search the MSI forums to be sure. It is a fine power supply, but from what i read this mobo needs over 25A on ONE rail. That means that dual rail wont work. Also, i think the nature of dual rails mean you really can't add them together, in reality the amps comes out less then their sum (i think). Many people recommend a one 12v rail system with 30A or more

if your psu deos not make enough juice for the cpu the system won't start...nothing...nada...

merry Xmas and all that yots

I've got an Antec SL400 PSU with 24A on the +12V rail. It is working just fine on my Neo2 Plat MoBoard from MSI.

I think using just one stick of memory at a time might be a good idea, for troubleshooting.
