My Cable Modem is working just fine, im posting from a direct connection to it now, but when i plug it into the router, my computer connects to it and i get packets sending and recieving but i cant actually get on the internet. I dont get it. Anyone have ideas? I've tried restarting the router and stuff. Heres a Image showing the routers status and network connection (when im connected trhough the router) DLINK

When you hit DHCP Release and then DHCP Renew for the WAN section does the IP address become anything other then 0.0.0.0? It looks like your router isn't receiving an IP address from your ISP's server for some reason.

Yes, looks like the router is not able to pick up an IP (and DNS info) from your ISP. Did you upgrade the firmware lately?

The packets you see being sent are probably the ones used by your PC to obtain an IP address from the DHCP in the router.

Try resetting (not restarting) the router and see waht happens.
