Basically, any kernel after 2012 (The vulnerability affects any Linux Kernel version 3.8 and higher) is exploitable, which means, that ANY program can get root privs, though, if you have SMEP & SMAP enabled, this makes the exploit much harder to achieve.

So, all those android phones out there need to be patched quickly.
Will it happen? Nope, there are just too many companies that will ignore this issue.

If you are running linux, then a fix should be made available pretty quickly, so patch up.
