Dear friends i need your help regarding a problem that i am stuck in.
I have a ryzen pc last month i had to move away from home so i decided to wrap the pc in a plastic sheet to save the components from dust moisture etc so i wrapped completely taped the entire pc air tight completely and put in almirah after one month i opened the pc i found all over cabinet surface has plastic sheet smell and the cabinet is having some unusual patterns from outside seems like greyish lines i switched the pc it works perfectly. Now i am confused is it a cause of concern or not kindly help me friends and thanks in advance.
 
"Put in almirah" means the taped/sealed unit was then placed into a free standing cabinet or wardrobe. The area is in India, and most likely high humidity was present and sealed in. I see the resulting "damage" as cosmetic. If the system works, the paint changes on the case should have no impact on performance.
 
Thanks corkyg for the reply the system is running perfectly i have done stress test all are perfect since i assembled this pc few months back with a lot of savings i was worried one thing i would still like to know is there any effect on the life of components inside the cabinet after all this.
 
Finish imperfections on the outside should have no effect on the life of the components. OTH, if there is evidence of damage to the interior paint, there is always a possibility that the same process could affect the long term viability of some components. I would keep on keeping on until there was some sign of degradation in performance. Since all would be caused by your actions, I assume any warranty would be void anyway. So, live with it and enjoy.
 
Thanks xavier mac & corkyg for the reply from close examination i found out its the cabinet shining that is dull in places from outside from inside its fine and its the smell of that plastic sheet all over the cabinet.
