Right now two but use to be to many. Can't believe I let myself do that. Trying to get out of the horrible habit.
 
I bet at least 100 in the house. If we were more organized we wouldn't have to have so many, but this house is always such a mess so that's out of the question. I know where all my pens are though and when I need one I know just where to go.
 
i have a few in bags that i haven't touched in years.

you can get a lot of them at career fairs... tons. i still have them from years ago.

Stuff owns us. We don't own the stuff. I like the idea someone said about stuff before. Think of your stuff as your employees and ask yourself is it making you happy? Is it doing its job good? Is it being put to good use? Really cool way to look at it in my opinion. Never heard of this before and think its a good prospective to look at it. The real thing is the stuff we use is our employees because it helps us get jobs done.

On my desk I have 2 large cups. One contains about 40 different colored pencils, about 2 regular pencils (all sharpened perfectly.) a couple of black ink pens, a couple of blue ink pens, about 5 black fine point sharpie markers, 2 extra fine point sharpie markers.

The other cup contains a small flashlight, 2 X-Acto knives with fresh blades (with caps), a pair of scissors, 12 fine point sharpies in varying colors, one flat metal ruler, and has about 20 rubber bands around the handle of the cup.

I also have 1 can of 3M "photo mount" spray adhesive and a blank pad of paper perfect for messages or notes to self, and there are probably 2 or 3 sketch pads laying around.

I usually keep one sharpie and one black pen in my pocket wherever I go. Never be caught without a sharpie.

I'm in computer graphics. 🙂
 
18 at my desk, 7 or 8 more in my backpack. most of those are pilot V5s. best pen ever.

got damn it man, only you could drive me to anger with such a stupid thread about pens.

I have more than 5 pens because i lose the motherfockers all the time. Unlike you, I have firends and classmates that like to borrow pens and never give them back. I always have like 8 in my school back and a ton all over my house.

There, one less pen.
