Fearlss1: Hell, you live in San Angelo, I don't blame you for wanting out of that sh1thole. I grew up in a town similar to that and it just sucks the life out of you.

Have you thought about maybe migrating to a big town instead? Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio? Might help you get things straightened out and prepare you for a bigger jump to another place like Florida.

take a year off and just hitchhike across the country. Do odd jobs and survive as best you can. It will be an experience you never forget :)

GO someplace near a school where you can get those last 4 hours at least. I am sure you can find a school in a suitable location in Fla.

Nate before you go and do anything irrational, I would SERIOUSLY think this whole thing through. Hopping out of college when you are that close to graduating is one of the dumbest things you can go and do. I would first find a place where you want to go to, and then try and find a university that offers the major that you are in. Check and see what classes/credits will transfer.

You might be scarred to see how many WON'T transfer. You may wind up taking two years over again just because of some stupid technicalities(read: the new school wants your $$ so they won't accept the credits).

You don't really want to see the return rates of students who quit school and plan to return. It's not pretty...not at all.

None of us are you, but you asked for our advice. My advice is this - suck it up, stick with it, finish your schooling, and then move. When you graduate you'll have a degree, another years worth of experience, and a little more time to think things through. If you keep working, you can save up enough money to have a nice little nestegg for your big move. You'll have a degree that you can use to get a decent job, and you'll have that extra year's experience as well.

I would agree, finish your degree and then move. You'll also have an easier time finding a job.

yobarman: San Angelo is a black hole in the middle of west Texas. I wouldn't wish anyone to have to live there.

I live in Orlando...It is great. Although kinda hot at the moment.

The cost of living is not too high...although salaries are scaled accordingly.

I actually work in the military simulator industry here...huge area for all of that stuff.

A one bedroom apartment usually goes for $500-600 a month, not to hard to find a job.

Great weather, beaches close by. Anything else?
