serious connectivity issues

seems like a big hop and a lot more red than anybody else's report...can someone help this idiot (me) out...why do they vary so very much.

i have also been using the MSN bandwidth meter and it has normally varied between 500-1800....but there has been twice i clocked it well below 100


im having a serious problem playing Battlefield 1942 online and also with keep a steady uptime

Could be your internet provider is giving you poor service. You could try complaining to them, but they may charge you money if a tech comes out and decides nothing is wrong... You may also want to try sending those reports directly to their support people.

If you have a router between your computer and cable/dsl modem, try plugging the computer directly into the modem. Just to see if the router is causing the problem or not.

If you are going through wireless, you could have a flakey connection.

Those are just some thoughts.

this is a wired connection.

there is no router, just a straight connection.

i called the ISP and they said that they need 2 weeks of documentation like this before they will even do anything
