Today when I try to play my ps2 with my wintv card for some, something very wrong happen. It is like the color on the look horriblely wrong on the screen. I tried different ps2 cable, same thing happen. But when I try connecting with my vga box which completely by-pass the wintv card, color finally look right. It is safe to assume somethign is wrong with my card, can I assume the entire card is busted or just the composite part? Because my tv card also got a port for s-video. What is the chance that the s-video port is unaffected?

Colors all wrong typically means that you have picked the wrong TV standard. Check what your console outputs (NTSC, PAL, SECAM, and what subflavor of it), and then adjust your TV viewing software to use that.

Just check it ... you certainly wouldn't be the first to have their software settings change mysteriously. You know, the top three answers in computer support are,

(1) It worked fine yesterday
(2) I didn't do anything
(3) It was like that when I got here
