serious AIm problem

There is probably a way to turn messaging off on your cell phone. I know you can do it with Cingular. Check your providers web page.

11:53:20 AMSystemHello, glen. Welcome to Live Technical Support. My name is Gene.
11:53:22 AMSystemglen stated the question or problem as: some bimbo has her IM's forwarded to my cell phone.
11:53:24 AMSystemAre you signed on with the same computer that you need assistance with?
11:53:41 AMYouHey Gene, I sure hope you can help me.
11:53:50 AMAOLTechGDTI am pleased to meet you, Glen.

11:54:21 AMYoushe has her IM's forwarded to my cell phone when she is offline
11:54:41 AMAOLTechGDTLet me see if I have this right. I understand you would like to know how you can prevent another Screen Name's IM from getting to your Cell phone number. Is that correct?
11:54:42 AMYouI am not her. I don'r know her.
11:54:46 AMYouit is a msitake
11:54:57 AMYouNO that is nto correct
11:55:33 AMYouAIMSCREENANE has her IM's forwarded to my cell phone when she is off line.
11:56:11 AMAOLTechGDTThanks for clarifying that.

11:57:10 AMYouwell?
11:57:18 AMYouHow do I make it stop?
11:57:49 AMAOLTechGDTIt is impossible for someone to forward an IM to your cellphone number since for them to be able to enable this feature then they will have to type the code that is sent in that number.
11:58:23 AMYoushe used to have this cell phone number
11:58:38 AMYoushe no longer has this number
11:59:03 AMAOLTechGDTIf that is the case then you will have to tell her to disable the IM Forwarding of her Screen Name to that Cell phone number.
11:59:14 AMAOLTechGDTFor her to do this then she will have to follow the steps below.
11:59:49 AMAOLTechGDTShe can disable the forwarding of IMs to your cell phone by going to AOL Keyword: IM Forwarding once she signed on to her Screen Name.
11:59:54 AMYouHow the heck do I tell her?
11:59:59 AMYouI don't know her

I just ran thru this process to see how it worked. After you select your Provider and type of phone they send a confirmation code to the cell phone. I would like to know how she was able to forward her messages to your phone without gettting the confirmation code to register the phone with AOL Mobile. 😕

Have you tried contacting your cell phone provider?
