OK I'm having trouble with a Logitech/wingman/gaming mouse, I recently just upgraded to win2k and for some reason my mouse has not woked right in game (TRIBES) since, at first it was in the ps2 port and my comp would only recognize it as a 2 button mouse, and in game it did some sorta wierd binding thing so that I could not do 2 things at once (such as jetting and firing), finally I put it in usb1 and it now sees it as a wingman 3 button mouse but in game the buttons stick, I thought maybe the mouse had gone bad so I returned it but the new one does the same thing.
I have tried it with the drivers that came w/ win2k and both versions of the logitech drivers for win2k and the buttons still stick if I use 2 at the same time so my jets will stay on and my gun keeps firing till I tap them.
could this be a problem w/ directx8, I hope not I do not want to reformat.

Have you tried other games other than TRIBES?? Perhaps it's only a problem associated with TRIBES.

i haven't looked at their site but the same button thing happened to me. doesn't make sense to me why the regular port cant use the third button but it doesn't see it as such connected that way in win 98 either, usb it works fine.

also I think their is a patch to stop the mouse software from taking over in games but not sure if its win98 only so you should look at their site.

thanx....guys
no I haven't tried any other games, I haven't wanted to install much on this comp since I'm afraid I'll have to reformat and go back to win98, but I gues I will try UT and soldier of fortune out
