Serillel2 Converter performance

I am planning on using the Serillel2 Converter with my WD Special Edition IDE hard drive when I set up my system. What, if any, performance gains can I expect by doing so? Or is it just a way of using SATA with an IDE drive? I believe the only gain could be a faster transfer rate, but since the drive isn't actually spinning any faster, there may be no gain at all.
Thank you in advance!

Oops, this was supposed to be in the Abit IC7 thread, sorry! I think it applies to anyone with SATA, however.

Actually...expect a performance decrease. Some have shown a 10%-20% decrease in performance actually. Hard drives don't use nearly the full 100MBs of the ATA spec, so 150 will make no difference right now.
