Serillel / Serillel II - clarification, please

Bottom line - will the Serillel (not Serillel 2) work with my Abit IC7 that I just ordered.

Discussion - I understand that the original serillels won't work with CD/DVD drives. This is a mute point for me. I just need the serillel to run off the SATA ports so that I can use my existing IDE hard drives on those ports. Also will the Serillel (not Serillel 2) support the built-in SATA RAID with the IC7.
