Serial Port Question

My parents are getting a new computer, I told them to go with a Dell since they are really cheap and I am to far away to help them. Well the problem is the computer only has 1 serial port and my parents need both of them. Now is there any way to get a new serial port, I found a device online that does USB to serial but I am unsure how they perform. If you all have any other ideas or recommendation they would be greatly appreciated.

If you are going to get one this is the one to get:

Keyspan
or this Keyspan

It will work with everything and its the best you can get.
Other serial conversions are iffy at best.

Is there any adavantage to getting the more expensive one?

No. The cheaper one will work fine. USB1 will be more than enough for any serial device.
