lol...today was a very interesting day...i woke up late to get to my 11:30 class, only to see that the road was blocked off with cops. I live off of Huckleberry trail. Anyways, a better piece of mind now that they caught the guy.

I am tech alumni too. What an idiot... so instead of going to jail for robbing a store, now he is going to jail for killing two people. People are dumb.

Cut out the stupid "not a serial murder" crap. Its over the guy is caught. He murdered 2 POLICE, and wounded another. Frankly, i couldn't give less of a sh!t what you call it, but he killed.

You got to make sure it's him first. That's why I'm glad the police are professionals and not emotional kneejerks.

In that case, I wish he would tried to draw a weapon on a fully armed policeman. End of story. No emotional knee-jerking required.

To the OP, I am glad things can start settling down now in VT! I can only imagine the panic that would have swept my former campus had something like this happened.

Only thing that really bothers me about all this is how he managed to do this in the first place.

Now I work at a hospital in downtown Detroit and it's extremely common to have prisoners on the units, we even have a police detail with 2 jail cells at the back of the ER and now I'm not sure of this hospitals policy on prisoners and obviously it's a little different(our security guards are armed with glock 9mm and not afraid to pull them) and when we have a prisoner on the unit, his bed is not shown, door is closed and the prisoner has one leg and one arm cuffed to the bed. If he is a low risk prisoner he has one police officer, high risk has 2.

I just I dont know. I hope that something can be learned from all this. And thank God he was caught before anyone else was hurt.
