Serial ATA Problems? HELP PLEASE! Win XP wont recognize

Hey guys, this is my first post here... mainly because I have a big problem with my new comp that I just put together. I am by no means an expert, but not a newb at the same time, but this may be a newb question.

My motherboard (A7N8X Deluxe) recognizes my WD Raptor SATA drive, but when I try to install Windows XP, it says it cannot find a storage device. Are there any software updates that I should be aware of?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam

I believe you need to press F6 when the install asks for scsi or storage drivers, then it will ask for a floppy. Put a floppy in with drivers for the sata controler. Hope this helps.

Seems to have worked! Thanks jetblack.

My mobo didn't come with any controller software so I didn't know I had to. I downloaded the software and it worked! So, now WinXP is successfully installing.

Thanks!

I'll come back if I have any more issues
