my mobo isnt compatible with sata devices... newegg sent me a sata hard drive instead of the eide harddrive i ordered. I'd rather not return it, so i was wondering if there is anyway i can buy adapter for the sata jacks.

Yes they sell SATA adapters, or else you can tell Newegg to send you the right drive, unless you ordered the SATA drive by accident😉

ehh yea that was a possibility, i arlready checked my order form and i ordered the eide card. Funny thing though, i was looking alround, and apparently my model comes in both sata and ide. But the description on newegg said ide so i just assumed so.

So did you order the right drive? Or did the Egg send you the wrong one?

Either way,

I would try and get the correct drive. Aren't SATA-> IDE adapters kinda pricey?
