Man... I feel terrible for Osaka to win the way she did. and it looked like she was on her way to upsetting williams anyways. very exciting up till the BS started happening. Apparently Nadal called out the referee during one of his matches and he didn't get the same treatment that williams did. (https://www.sportskeeda.com/tennis/french-open-2017-rafael-nadal-threatens-chair-umpire) I'm sure osaka will enjoy her $3.5M and sponsorships though, big congrats to her.

Williams is fined $17,000 for her bad behavior. I'm sure that will really dent her wallet.

How is that an upset? She is fucking young. Serena is old as balls at this point.

Sorry, no matter how much you want to live in denial, you're not going to be as good as you once were. Age is a bitch, get used to it and stop being such a raging retard on TV.

Serena really was ridiculous in this whole ordeal. I did a bunch of reading and point/counter-points and it seems like she was pretty much 100% in the wrong.

Taking your conclusion at face value it was a very similar encounter as Rafel Nadal except 100% opposite penalties.

Serena should try and be more serene, or at least less angry. :)

Roid rage is real.

Was Serena's coach that started this whole mess as he was signalling Serena. Then it went downhill from there.

I watched it live... It was pretty terrible for Osaka, but also pretty clear that Serena lost her mind for a bit. She pulled things together nicely for the awards ceremony, but she lost control of herself and lost the match simply because of a coaching warning.

To be fair though the chair umpire simply could have said something to the effect of "If you continue there will be a game penalty." and that would have shut her tirade down and solved the problem.

She still would've lost. The insanity continued though. The award ceremony was a disgrace. Osaka was pretty much bullied into apologizing for beating her majesty - what a steaming pile of BS. People used to love an underdog story.

There wasn't any bullying. I think she was just ashamed to be part of such a mess. She was going to have mixed feelings about beating Serena anyway since she idolizes her.

Maria is hot and Serena has the features of a man?

Both are hot, just to totally different audiences. Serena was on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, her double D's and fat ass are about as unmanly as you can get.

I'll take Rhianna or Tyra Banks in her prime (when she was on MJ's Black or White MV).

Young Tyra was HOT. (24 yo here)
