I looked around and didn't see a thread on this, but forgive me if this is a repost.

I'm thrilled to hear this. One of the finest fleet-simulator games I've ever played and I've never forgotten it. Nor did I forget the tech demo for the sequel that came out in 06.

Even by today's standards it's impressive, although I have no idea if it will be related to the announced sequel.

Hooray!

Great news indeed. The first was rather epic and challenging.

Lets hope the second one sends us into space literally with the graphics and has the story/gameplay/fun to match.

Sweet! I rather enjoyed the first game, though I thought the mechanics were a bit hit or miss. Kickass graphics though.

Maybe it's time for me to finally try to get into the first one.

I think it might have been my very first "Steam Sale" buy years ago. I've never been able to get past the very beginning.

I wanted imperium galactica III and they made that... was not impressed

I was hoping for IG3 but was willing to settle for GC2.
Nexus was fine on its own but we still need more 4X games. Actually, we need more space battle games too.
And more explorers like Freelancer and X3.
And we need another line of shooters, something that combines all the best elements of Tie Fighter, Wing Commander, and Freespace.
