I have seen the commercial many times and they do not lie.

"created with silver recovered from Ground Zero" - it's plated with a microscopic amount of such silver. They never say it's pure silver or solid silver.

"Legal Tender" - it is legal tender - in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas.

It's still scummy and misleading, and people should not be profiting from 9/11, but I don't think it's fraud.

Elliot Spitzer has been a lot more effective in combatting corporate malfeasance than any other politician. I think he does good work.

Made with does not mean it's solid silver

and the truth of the silver originating from ground zero is being investigated.

I'm glad they are stopping this. When I saw the commercial, I told my wife that it had to be complete BS, because there is no way that the company recovered silver from a bank vault. Second, I said that I didn't believe that anybody but the US Mint could legally make a silver dollar. I can't believe the balls these people have to profit off of this.

They didn't say which government. Isn't there some VERY well known company that sells stamps and other coins that are issued by Liberia?
