This not a religious statement, nor was this thread started to debate whether there is a God or not........

This thread is solely for the purpose of a remembrance of 9/11 and possibly what a lot of the families of the dead went through and how some actually did have a faith of some kind!

So please none of this god allowed 9/11 to happen or none of this well if there is a God he would not have allowed 9/11 to happen.

Thank you in advance for being respectful ofr the dead and this thread!

Not going to watch cus I don't want to feel like crap because I'm sure it's going to be depressing. It's not 9/11 here yet and I'm sure everywhere on tv is going to be showing all the depressing stuff.

There should be a "where were you on 9/11", thread. It's one of those days so etched in our minds that nearly everyone seems to remember it more clearly.

i was in gym class in highschool. they put cnn on the school video system and had everyone stay in their current class. the rest of the day was very quite.

Was in grade 12 law class when they made a vague announcement over the PA.

I was in 10th, sitting in health class. Someone saw through the window smoke rising from the skyline from the WTC. We thought it was a fire or something until someone made a PA announcement about a plane crashing into one of the towers. We thought it was accidental, like some bad flying by a small plane or something. Later on, during a diferent period, we heard about the second plane hitting, and then we knew it wasn't an accident, it was a coordinated attack.

That day was crazy, there were rumours flying all over school, two or three students had parents who were actually in the buildings. It was a scary and chaotic day.

Later on, we found out that the students from Stuyvesant high school, which was very close to ground zero, was evacuated after the first plane and that the students would be sharing our school building with us in the afternoon-evening. At one point there were like 5,000+ students in building at one time.

I was sleeping on my uncle's couch just before getting up for school when he came running into the living room yelling that a planed had crashed into the WTC.

I was in bed... it was like 3am... Had just landed from Seattle two hours earlier.
Didn't know anything about it until I got up at 6am or so...

By then everything had already collapsed.
