Hi,

my motherboard is Aus A8N-SLI
i am using its onboard gigabit lan

I have a Buffalo (very low end, but at least 10/100Mbit) LAN card.

I wonder if it will provide a better performance when BT?

A friend of mine saying a standalone LAN card can find you more seed.
I don't know about it, so i post it here to find out.

Thanks

Your friend is an idiot. The main difference will be in the drivers, if the drivers for the PCI NIC are better than those for the onboard NIC then it might be worth it but hardware-wise I doubt you'll notice a difference.

If we were talking about straight gigabit performance an Intel based Giga-NIC is going to have measurable performance improvements over the onboard Asus.

However, this is not the case with 10/100 cards since they can all pretty saturate the interface.
