currently have a linksys router hooked up to both a wireless linksys router and a netgear hub...all of thats working fine; however, was wondering if i could set it up so that one group of computers could only access/share files within that group and have another group that would only have access to other computers of that group? i read a little about subnet masks and wondered if i could give that a try?...possible problem with that is that not all the computers i want to include within a group are hooked up to the same router? i'm really not sure how it would work. every computer at the moment is using the 255.255.255.0 default mask.

thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Network Forum.

If you have two Routers build one network around one Router.

Connect the second Router's WAN port to a regular port on the first Router and build a second network around the second Router.

The two Networks will be independent since there is a Router between them.
