Sent PM's don't appear in Sent PM folder

The last PM I see in my sent PM folder is September 2012. Nothing new ends up there.

Click on your 'UserCP', go to 'Edit Options' under 'Settings and Options' then scroll down a bit and make sure the following option has a checkmark next to it:

Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default
