Sent messages not saved to Sent Items folder

I have it checked in my forum options, and the only messages I have in that folder are from 7 years ago, and they were apparently imported after the forum was updated. The subjects all says Imported PM.

It was checked a long time ago, and recently I noticed is was unchecked. Maybe after a forum update or whenever it was those previous messages were imported. Anyway, I check it last night and sent a few messages, and none of them showed up in the sent folder.
