Sent for an RMA

I'm lookin for any stories that involve somebody RMA'ing a part back to newegg, but when newegg gets it, they no longer carry the same part. has newegg ever sent anybody a better part as a replacement? or do they just opt to do a refund?
 
Never been in that boat, but I have always heard the best things about newegg RMA's. You can hope for an nice free upgrade.
 
when i had multiple problems with my dell laptop (and called them over 30 times for support), they ended up replacing my computer a few years later with a newer model. they won't (and shouldn't) give you anything that is lower in spec; you should only get something better.
 
I've RMAed a few IBM Ultrastar U160 15K SCSI drives to Hitachi this year, and they've sent me Hitachi Ultrastar U320 15Ks 🙂 You should get something equal or better.
