Hi,
A long time ago, some 8 years ago, I was a member on these forums. I had a few thousand posts, and a relative who at the time I lived with decided she wanted to post on the off-topic forums after seeing me post on them. So, she registered an account, and shortly after, we were both banned for "making multiple accounts from the same IP address." I tried explaining at the time to a moderator that it wasn't one guy trying to make multiple accounts, but was dismissed.
It's been a long while, and I wanted to see if I could be unbanned at this point as I have found topics interesting again here nowadays. I didn't really care/bother that much in the past, to browse here, due to the forum issue way back when. Now I'm looking for more forums to post on in general again as I've been more interested in tech again lately. I imported my old username, and found it was still, after all these years, banned.
I tried to email both anand's direct email, and through the webform, but it has been a week without an answer. So, I figure the only way I will get an answer is to ask here =). I apologize in advance for going around by making a new account, and am openly stating my story + old username:

Either way, I appreciate your time and thank you for a response. For anyone wondering why I didn't just make a new username since I'm in my own apartment all this time later... I just want my old username =), and I'm not a fan of bypassing company/site-owner wishes as far as posting/membership/sales.
