Sense rom hack for non HTC phones

It's a beta, as of now the 3g Data, Bluetooth & GPS don't work. Camera works but only with a 3rd party app (no camera button I guess?) Author is working on getting them up and going, but has no ETA for any of them. Besides that it seems to be very solid, been running it myself for a few hours and am loving the hell out of the Sense UI. The UI + the HTC only widgets are pure win. Speed wise it seems very good, running a 1.1ghz lv kernel. If you don't use any of the 3 things currently missing this is some sweet shit. It's crazy how much better HTC is at modding the UI over Motorola or Samsung or any other company.

Welp I have no data plan, I don't use BT and with no data plan GPS is a no go for me. I use 100% wifi for data, I'll agree with you for most they're probably show stoppers though. But for cheap asses like me who don't need them this rom is pretty sweet. And those who want them but are interested in this mod can follow the thread. It might be 100% functional tomorrow who knows?

Haha. Sense is shitty. Why on earth would anybody want that? A couple of their widgets are okay, but seriously...Sense is horrible. HTC doesn't have the word "continuity" in their dictionary.

most of their widgets are really great, their dialer's about 10x better than the stock one, or even any replacement one for that matter. Outside of Better Keyboard they have the best replacement touch screen keyboard. It's definitely the best stock keyboard. And their Music app is so much better than even anything I've found in the Market. HTC also added a few nice apps you don't see anywhere else. The stock Android UI's boring and the widgets are horrible.

I've been playing with the Sense hacked rom all day today. The dialer is waaaaay better, the contacts app is a lot nicer looking and has more features. The weather widget is much cooler. The social connection thing looks pretty interesting too. I even like the lock screens slider a lot more than the stock android one. HTC's widgets and reworking of existing apps are all top notch. The author of this hack is releasing a new version with even more bugs worked out sometime over the next few days.
