Heh!

I've been using Sennheiser headphones for years!

I think my HD-414 headphones finally bit the dust - crackles, like it has a broken wire somewhere - and these wires are usually the size of a human hair, and unrepairable.

However, my HD-416 headphones are still working great!

Perhaps, now is the time to upgrade... :D

Do you personally own/use these headphones?

BTW, in my experience, THESE are the only things that wear out on my 'classic' Sennheiser headphones - have to replace them every year or two!

As a matter of fact, I've had this 'problem' with every headphone I've ever owned, so whatever you buy, make sure that replacement ear cushions are available - otherwise, you'll be throwing out your headphones and buying new ones every year or two, not just the ear cushions...

IMHO, this is where Sennheiser shines above the rest!

Go try to find ear cushions for 20-year old Koss headphones, or whatever... ;)

EDIT

Hrm...

I don't see any REPLACEMENT EAR CUSHIONS available for the RS120!

Maybe that'll come later. In the meantime, that's a deal breaker for me... :|

I have the RS110 I got about a year back with an extra pair of headphones so the wife and I could watch movies without waking the kids at night. For the price nothing comes close.

I also have a pair of HD280's? Forgot the number I use on the PC for watching training material on the PC.

On any pair of Sennheisers sometimes the background sounds make me think someone else is walking in the door or walking around the house. Very cool.

They are $70 with free ship at Amazon right now - and most days I think. Link
Amazon also has a 30 price guarantee - if their price drops, and you contact them - they will refund you the difference.

Heh! No kidding...

When I bought my Intel P4 EE CPU from them, the price went up 4 times in 24 hours!

Also...

I've heard a rumor that Amazon raises the price when you look at something, leave their site, and return.

For instance, let's say that you're shopping for a HSF - looking for the best price - and you keep coming back to Amazon. Supposedly, after x number of visits to the same page, the price will start rising, because they know you're hooked.

Perhaps Newegg does a similar thing, like, the more unique hits a product gets, the higher the price goes...

Hey, stranger things have happened... :D
