I ordered these headphones on the cheap from Newegg yesterday to be used for gaming. Does anyone on here have any opinions on them, good or bad? Thanks

One of the reviewer was not satisfied with the bass. In my personal too some of these entry level headphones do have that limitation. Depends no what your expectations are... good luck!!

I have them, but 2 things:

1. You need a headphone amp to drive them properly. I have a Xonar Essence STX for the purpose.
2. As mentioned, the bass sounds disappointing in their stock state. However, there is a simple mod you can do to fix this (if you don't mind taking them apart). Read this thread for more. I would recommend going through the whole thing as a number of people chime in with their experiences and recommendations.

While it may seem a bit intimidating, it's relatively straightforward plus it makes a MASSIVE amount of difference. I was ready to send them back before I modded mine.

I have them also, they sound pretty good without a headphone amp. I'm using Xonar DX with Dolby Headphone. The slightly lacking stock bass is compensated for by both Dolby Headphone and the equalizer. I would recommend these headphones as long as you pair them with a soundcard, Xonar DG at minimum (has both DH and amp). Very comfortable too.

If you don't need the mic (which is great quality btw), look for pure headphones instead of a headset.
