Should I get a Headphone Amp? I'm using it on my Audigy 2 -> The headset jack on my Z5300's...

The sound quality is just...eh. And I'm not sure if an amp would make a huge diff...

The ohms is 64...I guess a high impedence means it needs an amp...but I don't know if that's a lot! lol..

Oh wow...that did make a sh!tload of difference...jesus, I never realized this is what they were supposed to sound like!

So you guys figure an amp isn't necessary?

If you have a good set of headphones like the beyer dynamics dt880's that are hard to drive, or just looking for good quality music, then you can... Course they are good for increasing the volume too...

If you had to get one, choose what the audiophiles like... the Hornet

aww man this sucks, now that i realized how music should really sound...my 128kbps mp3's are horrible...

which is why many people use uncompresed .wav files 🙂

FLAC, people, FLAC. Anyway, you want an amp, start with something cheap like a Cmoy (~$20). You can always splurge later. HD570s won't need much more anyway, plus 128kbps MP3s won't sound any better with a better amp.
