Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones $59.99 FS

decent headphones, i've been enjoying mine for a few years now. Great for planes seal out some of the aircraft noise.

It's not dead? The code expires at midnight.

I think it is dead.
I tried to check out and I got this message:
"Sennheiser Electronic corp. HD280PRO has been removed from shopping cart due to quantity limitation/insufficient stock. Some combo items might be affected by this."

You're right, seems they're OOS and haven't updated the product page. Probably realized how badly they were getting ripped off selling these things for $50 no rebate. That's basically half off compared to other vendors.

My extensive headphone use leads me to be of the opinion that the hd280's are not worth $60. There are much better options for slightly more money.

man they sold out fast.

did they ever improve the ear pads on these? i remember my 497's had regular foam pads with a very thin skin which eventually crumbles as it dries out, which kind of sucked vs the memory foam pads that creative uses these days.

I have a pair of these and if you think the sound is bad or even mediocre you had better check the device your using before thinking its these headphones.

that's my main gripe with these too. the pads cost $25 and leave black flakes on your ears. I've had to replace my pads every couple years

The fact that you even considered replacing the earpads says alot about the quality of the item. FWIW I've had to replace the pads on my 414's a number of times.....yet they still sound fantastic and I will continue to pay to replace pads. I suspect these 280's will see a few replacement pads over the next 20 years as well. I'm excited to take them for a test run, should be seeing a box in the doorway soon.

As for vulgardisplay's assertion that these are not worth the price......after some burn in time I'll stack them up against another perennial favorite in the budget closed headset world the Samson SR850s. Also on deck will be a pair of Denon AH-D1100 just for the lols. I doubt I will feel swindled by Sennheiser but you never know.....

Any reviews from new owners? Anyone want to get rid of theirs 😉

Get rid of my Fostex? Hell no. 😀 I love those things, best Orthos in the world for under $500. Just a little modding needed to hear their full potential, but that's part of the fun.

Oh, you mean the Senns? Screw those, get some T50RPs.
