Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition for $129.99 w/ FS at Amazon

Not to thread crap, but these went for 94 dollars just a few months ago on Amazon. Unless you really need them, I would wait.

A few months ago being... November Black Friday. So people can wait until the next black Friday for such a deal!

The HD 598 are far superior as far as audio quality--no comparison really. I find them to also be far more comfortable to wear for extended times. The wireless golds have a pretty decent mic and are very convenient for use with the PS4 (plug and play, audio adjustments on the headset itself etc).

I actually use both for gaming on the PS4. I use the HD 598 90% of the time directly connected to the PS4 controller. If i'm doing online multiplayer, I'll switch over to the wireless gold for the mic.
 
I have an old pair of 555 while I find decent for gaming. Will likely have to replace them as they are starting to show their age. Seems like a nice option; kind of wish the white pair were on sale (they are $150); but i guess color has no impact on sound quality 🙂
 
I picked up a pair of philips shp9500 from all the reviews it runs neck and neck with this ?
Cost 60 on Newegg via ebay
