sennheiser 497, 500 or other

Is it worth getting the 500's over the 497's? I am looking for a pair of headphones in the $45-60 range. Mostly for listening to music and a little bit of games. Or any other headphone suggestions. thanks.

just got my 497's. all I can say is wow. great headphones worth double what they sell for.

I have owned the 497's for probably a year now, well worth it!

i couldn't afford the 580's, but when i heard them, i bought them anyway. absolutely unreal. they will ruin music on any other source for you, though. I've got Klipsch La Scalas and they don't even touch these things, and they're good enough to blow away most headphones. so you know the 580's are good. 🙂

i also have the 580s...sounds are so clear, you can hear every little imperfection in the music
