Amazing movie. I purposely didn't research before watching it, so it was even more amazing. I did get a little misty eyed.

Great movie, but some of the crashes, especially seeing Martin Donnelly lying on the track motionless, made me cringe a little.

I am a bit afraid to watch the movie because of this. Senna was a big hero of mine. I was extremely fortunate to have family that were big fans of Formula 1. My dad had been a pre and post war Alfa Romeo engineer even helping design the first alfa watercooled airplane engine. That design was actually used by the Italian and Russian Yak fighters in WW2. Post war he worked with motorcycle GP teams before I was born. He took me see all the old time greats in the 60s through 80s. When Senna Died I was so crushed I stopped watching formula 1.

I cant bring myself to watch it....

broo story I know...

Saw it a couple of weeks ago... I was hoping for some more highlights just so more people can see him work his magic but I guess it didn't really need it since the theatre was pretty much packed for all showings.

Those onboard shots being played on a big screen was awesome...

I cannot remember which race it was but i was in Italy for a race where he was a second off the course record in the rain and came back from a bad pit stop to win in dramatic fashion.

Man was the Mozart of drivers

I am reluctant to watch it also. Huge hero of mine. I stopped watching F1 for a long time. I couldn't believe that happened to him. The fact that he had an Austrian flag in the cockpit with him for Ratzenberger, was just heartbreaking.

I guess Barrichello and Schumacher are the ones left who raced with him.

I want to see this movie. I only saw a few of his races as I wasn't really following F1 regularly until Jacques Villeneuve started racing for Williams after Senna's death. I followed Villeneuve when he raced for the now defunct CART series so when he went to F1 I was hooked.

Bump because I just watched this. It was excellent and you don't need to be a racing fan to appreciate it.

Kudos to this recommendation. This was really good. You could tell in the final race that his confidence was not in the car he was driving. Looks like he was shaken.

Emotional.

But, after watching it, I couldn't help but ask - why didn't Williams just scrap the cars?

Wickedly good movie. Watched it on Netflix during a slow night at work and it was amazing. I've never really researched much in the history of F1 and it was amazing insight, he was a hell of a driver.

The history of f1 is soo deep its not even funny. So many great stories over the years. Villains, heroes, tragedies, The old days were amazing. The last 20 years or so things have become somewhat less exiting for for me with all the advances and restrictions on cars.

I personally think they should restrict some newer tech and let the drivers not the computers drive the cars...

Just finished this, pretty good documentary, pretty crazy how the car flew off of the track.
