I was walking yesterday, and I noticed an old man walking towards me. He is about 20 ft away from me. All of a sudden he brings his right arm up. at this point I though, well, he must want to ask me a question, so i walked towards him and asked him what he wants.

me: did you need something?
him: to ze riiiite
me: huh?
him: TO THE RIGHT!!!
me: oh. . . .sorry

what the hell man, if you want someone to get out of your way, don't freaking flag them down, most normal people would be more than happy to get out of the way of a senior citizen, his actions of raising his right arm (he didn't even point, it was just up) didn't do what he intended it to do, in fact it made me walk towards him. I completely respect senior citizens and always let them have the right of way, but the ones that feel they should get special treatment because they are elder annoys me. I had a parking lot experience once that was just horrible. Don't get me wrong, seniors deserve a lot, but they don't have to walk around as if they're royalty.

one time i was standing on the sidewalk, just standing there helping my friend with her rollerblades...an old lady walks up to me and starts yelling at me for no reason...i was like wtf? and shes like "you're dangerous" blah blah blah...and im like wtf? im just standing here and you're yelling at me for no damn reason....so she continued bitching at me telling me to get off the sidewalk...the sidewalk is a typical nyc sidewalk...its huge, so its not like she couldn't pass me or anything...

finally im like, "look, if you want to call the cops, go ahead. but i was just standing here minding my own business when you came up and started yelling at me"

needless to say she calmed down after almost 30 minutes, and then asked me to help her up a set of stairs near where we were standing....it was weird...

Last Saturday we went to the Lenscrafters to pick up my wife's new glasses. Got there just as they opened at 10 (I thought they opened at 9:30) and there were a few people waiting. They opened the doors and everyone went in and had someone waiting on them.

A couple minutes later a senior citizen came in and picked up a pair of frames then stood there looking around. The lady waiting on us suggested he take a seat and she would be with him in a minute.

He yells at her, "If no one wants to wait on me, I'll just go somewhere else!" then put the frames down and left. I think the elapsed time he was in the store was under two minutes.

I got slapped across the face once by a cantankerous old lady. She apparently overheard my friend's whispered comment about her granddaughter's ass, and she turns around and slaps me for it (assuming I said it, I guess). I instinctively grabbed her wrists, at which point she gets this horrified look on her face like I'm about to rape her or something...so I just laughed and walked away. My friend was, of course, overjoyed...
