I'm preparing to send in my resume to Canon's photography division. Back in the day there was a time when I actually bought and resold Canon DSLRs. The problem with this is that I simply bought them from Dell and then sold them on eBay for a profit, so I acted as an unauthorized Canon dealer. I didn't think of these things at the time, but now I regret doing it.

Currently my resume reads "? Sourced and resold digital SLR cameras and MP3 players"

Should I nix out the DSLR part?

How much of this did you actually do? What kind of volumes were these in? Just one or two at a time?

I would question listing it in the first place, but that probably doesn't sound nice.

I say absolutely not. (to putting anything about reselling their cameras if you were not an authorized seller)

Given your skillset and the position, the resume will simply tell if you're qualified. Its your portfolio and interview that will set you apart and get the job. So definitely take that out of the resume, it doesn't add much and can only cause problems.

Out, bunnyboy ;)

Now if you were applying to work at a real company like Nikon, that would probably be a bonus...

Neither Nikon nor Pentax have any positions available in my field.
