Sending files through hardware firewall

I have a linksys befsr41 router w/a hardware firewall, and im trying to send files to someone in AIM. how do i get through this? i know theres an open port option in the settings of AIM, but what number do i use?
 
Check Linksys' website. They have lots of port numbers there.

Although, I'm sure someone else here uses AIM and knows the answer.
