Sending email from Outlook 2003 and Norton IS 2006 problem..

It's strange, but my Outlook 2003 has never had a problem sending emails until I installed NIS 2006. I can receive emails fine from Outlook still and my isp doesn't seem to be having problems with the send server because my friend sent me an email from the same isp using Outlook.

I turned off all settings that I could find for the Email Scanning or any other settings in NIS handling email or spam. I've put the addresses in my "allowed" list.

It still keeps scanning emails because it brings up a tray icon and shows it scanning. This is very irritating and Norton's support is useless. I can send mail from the webmail client fine, but I don't want to have to login to the webmail all the time.

The error that finally pops up when I get a message from Symantec Email scanner is as follows:

was unable to be sent because the connection to your email server was interrupted. Please open your email client and re-send the message from the Sent Messages folder.

1003,9

Their documentation is useless as I have gone through all of their settings they suggested with the same result.

Does anyone use the new NIS 2006 and have problems "sending" emails?

**I know I'll get responses from people suggesting to use a different package, but that doesn't solve the problem I'm having with the software. Please don't say, "get rid of that and try something different". I'd like to try to get this to work correctly before I decide to remove it. Anyone with experience with the NIS packages, possibly current product, have any suggestions?
