sending a slot 1 cpu

i was wondering if i should take the heat sink off the cpu before i send it? or does it not matter?

I personally find it very difficult to take of the heatsinks from slot CPUs

I could get it off, but once I broke the plastic retention thingies

I don't think it's necessary at all

if Intel ships their retail slot cpus with the heatsink attached, then you can too

No need. I received a P2-450 from a forum member with a giant heatsink on it. It works great. He did box it and put it inside a bubble wrap envelope, however.
