Sending 1800 mail messages?

I am not trying to spam, these are registered, op-in users. How do I go about doing this? Mail merge doesn't work because it requires me to wait 5 seconds between message.

BCC is also not an option. Nor is a CC list of 1800.

BCC is blocked by most mail systems today. They are stored in basically any data format we want.

BCC is blocked by most mail systems? That's news to me. I BCC all the time. If I'm sending something to a group of people that don't all know each other and may not want their Email shared among the entire group receiving it I send it to myself (on Yahoo) and BCC the list. It's common courtesy.

According to what I have read on a few sites, BCC is blocked by many mail providers and does not provide a good solution for large mail groups.

I seem to recall there being apps out there that would parcel up the mails and send then in smaller parcels... Check with your ISP too though - many of them have a limit on the #/bandwidth of daily mails to help shut down mailbot virii.

Ahhh... That (in bold) may be the key. I'm talking about 5 or 10 BCC's. Not 1800. 😉

BCC not allowed? I'm sure such a "mail system" is not RFC compliant. It doesn't matter if you BCC 10 or 1000 IIRC, because the receving mail server doesn't know to which else the mails has been sent. Do you have any links to back your claims up?
