Greetings all,

Don't know if this has been suggested yet. With the Congress approving an initial $40 billion fund for the response, and our budget having already been streatched, how about sending back your tax rebate checks if you haven't cashed them yet? My Dad is intending to, and I think it is a great idea. He is sending back all $600.

What do you guys think?

Forget it...keep your rebate check. Don't worry: Uncle Sam WILL get his money from you in the end.

You are much better off giving the $600 to the American Red Cross.

I'd do it but I've already spent it on a 17.4" Planar LCD

but i friend owes me somewhere in the neighborhood of $320 for parts i got for him, i'll ask him to donate that to the red cross

How about the WMC's donating their proceeds from the class action suit they received in a check a couple of weeks ago to the Red Cross. I did on Tuesday.
