The right thing? Are senators not entitled to pay increases? Any private sector employee would be upset to not receive some sort of yearly raise. They are in the somewhat unique position of voting on their own salary increases, but where would you suggest the decision rest?

Considering the level of responsibility & general crap they have to deal with their salary is hardly unreasonable ($162K).
