Would not be at all surprised for the GOP to block seating of Kelly until after Mitch gets another vote in to put in the gold-standard Trumpanzee on the Federal Reserve board.

I don't think Mitch wants an actual gold bug on the Fed. Mitch's base (Charles Koch) likes debt-financed tax cuts for billionaires. Without the Fed pumping up the money supply, Charles won't get richer as fast as he has become accustomed.
