I think these election is a perfect example of what happens if a ton of little things go wrong all at the same time. I mean, seriously, these razor thin margins are all coming out blue. 9000 votes between Virgina and Montana to decide two Senate seats is crazy bad luck for the GOP.

According to Wikipedia, the entire population of the county (it's Meagher, btw) is 1,932. So if EVERYONE in the county voted and EVERYONE in the county voted for Burns, he'd win by a hundred votes or so. In other words, Tester has basically won...barring a recount and absentee ballots of course.

This is gonna be close. Burns is now down by less than 2000. With only one county not listed (on CNN.com), it looks like someone will edge out a Meagher victory.

About 950 people voted in Meagher in 2004. 700 for Bush, 250 for Kerry. And Burns isn't nearly as popular as Bush was in MT in 2004.

lol, yeah, basically Tester has increased his margin by a few hundred votes from tallies earlier in the morning. I don't see Tester's lead be lost at least with this first round of counting unless there's thousands of ballots that haven't been counted yet. Also, I guess the absentee ballots have been counted, so it's not going to come from those ballots.

Yeah, Jadow's comment was over the line. I first thought he was being extremely sarcastic as there was an Allen ad taking passages out of Webb's books and using them against him. However, when I see a previous quote by Jadow, it actual looks like his skewed view is serious:

Any updates? It looks like there won't be a recount either, there has to be <.25% difference of total votes, not sure if that means it would include the Lib votes as well. With Lib vote, it's around .85% and without it's .40%. I think the Dem's will pull off the upset.
