Outgoing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was hospitalized Thursday after he broke several ribs and facial bones in a fall caused by broken exercise equipment, his office says.

Given the time of year (holidays) I'd say it's more likely he had a few drinks and tumbled down some stairs or slipped on ice etc. However, I'm perfectly willing to go with the exercise machine story.
